Born and raised in Nutley New Jersey, Alex began his musical interest when he was 6 years old playing classical piano, which he still has a unique interest in today. At the age of 13 he forged a bond with the other founder of Wingate, David Porcelli, as singer and guitarist , began to explore music together as well as become best friends. However, it wasn’t until he saw Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea play in 2007 that his interest in bass truly piqued. After two years alex developed a simplistic yet memorable style of playing that reflects the adventure of Wingate and pays tribute to his musical inspirations.
